Project Background

The site is located in the Tucheng Industrial Zone, near the convenient MRT Dingpu Station. It is bordered on the west by the 14-meter-wide Sanmin Road, on the east by the 11-meter-wide Jin'an Street, on the south by the Tucheng Industrial Zone Service Center and a newly constructed factory, and on the north by old factories and a residential area separated by a pedestrian walkway. This project site is classified as a Type B Industrial Zone, and according to Article 47, Section 2, Clause 1 of the New Taipei City Urban Planning Regulations, it is implementing an urban renewal business plan. Due to the characteristics of the site, the plan includes an 11-story above-ground and 3-story underground factory building, all designated for factory use (C-2).

Design Goals and Concepts
1. To align with policies, replace old buildings, and update them to become landmark factory buildings with significant scale and developmental value within the Tucheng Industrial Zone.
2. To use modern factory facades and layouts to demonstrate the technological essence of the new generation of factories.
3. To envelop the buildings with green landscaping, providing a more comfortable and humanized urban environment.

Architectural Design

• Considering Sanmin Road as the main thoroughfare of the Tucheng Industrial Zone, Sanmin Road serves as the main entrance, while Jin'an Street serves as the vehicular entrance.

• An atrium lobby is set at the main entrance on Sanmin Road, creating the image of a corporate headquarters.

• The building is oriented north-south in a linear layout, beneficial for both the building's visibility from Sanmin Road and energy conservation.

• Both Sanmin Road and Jin'an Street have setbacks of more than 8-10 meters, creating shaded pedestrian walkways.

• The building is enveloped with greenery, with significant green space reserved on the south side to create a recreational green plaza.
