1950

  • BES was named Heavy Equipment Division then and a combined unit of the Resource Provision Office's Heavy Machinery Plant, the Kaohsiung Office, the Car Service Unit and the Nanzi Repair Plant (the Resource Provision Office of the Executive Yuan has long been abolished); it was focused at operation of heavy machinery repair and vehicle transportation at that time.

1951

  • Reorganized into the Resources Committee Mechanical Engineering Department and changed operation focus from heavy machinery repair and vehicle transportation to the construction business of civil engineering and building engineering with heavy machinery equipment which, at that time, is something very new.

1952

  • Renamed to Bureau of Engineering Services (BES) and re-organized into a unit of MOEA.
  • Undertake the beam construction operation of the Xiluo Bridge.

1955

  • Undertake piling project of Factory 6, Taifer Company.

1959

  • Reorganized into "BES Engineering Corporation" (the short name BES remain intact as of today) as a unit of MOEA for easier overseas sales.

1960

  • Bangkok branch founded.
  • Contracted a military missile base project of USA in Ryukyu.

1962

  • Contracted the Baihe Reservoir Project.

1965

  • Changed Chinese name to "中華機械工程股份有限公司"

1966

  • Contracted the facilities of ROC Air Force in the Taichung Gonguan Airport and the Ching-Chuan-Kang Air Field (USA).

1967

  • Changed Chinese name to "BES Engineering Corporation" and set up the mechanic technician training course.

1968

  • Sabah, Malaysia construction office established.

1969

  • Contracted the Chulabong dam project in Thailand.
  • Contracted the project of China pavilion at Expo Japan.
  • Reorganized into a unit of the newly established China Engineering Salvage Company, MOTC.
  • The building department established.

1970

  • The preparatory team for industrial park development established.
  • Contracted the development project of Nanzi and Renwu industrial park.

1971

  • Contracted the construction project of the section of National Highway No. 1 from Linkou to Taishan, ground breaking ceremony was presided by Mr. Yan Jiagan, the Vice President of ROC then.

1972

  • Contracted the oil terminal project of CNPC's Shenao exclusive wharf.

1974

  • Contracted the project of Taoyuan International Airport.

1975

  • The Saudi Arabia branch established.

1976

  • The head office was relocated from Kaohsiung City to Taipei City; Vice President Yan Jiagan inspected the company's Taoyuan International Airport and National Highway No. 1 construction site.

1979

  • Contracted the 3D intersection project (Jianguo South and North Road in Taipei City).
  • Contracted the construction project of Hsinchu Science Park.
  • Contracted the project of Saudi Arabia's Liad International Airport.

1980

  • The BES fleet established at Keelung construction office.
  • Contracted the project of Taipower Building.

1981

  • Record annual sales amount (over TWD10 billion) for the first time.

1982

  • Construction provisional office Singapore established.
  • Contracted the construction project of the Taipei World Trade Center.
  • Contracted the project of Liad Industrial Park, Saudi Arabia.

1984

  • Contracted the project of Songkhla Bridge, Thailand.
  • Contracted the project of CNPC' LNG storage tank at Xingda Port.
  • Contracted project of sections of highway by construction office established in Kuwait.

1985

  • Contracted project of moving railways underground in Taipei City.

1986

  • Contracted the project of CNPC' LNG storage tank at Xingda Port (phase 2).
  • Computerized the construction sites' operation system along with total quality control system.

1987

  • Contracted the project of the administration center building, Taipei City Government.

1988

  • American branch established.

1989

  • Contracted the project of National freeway 3.

1990

  • Contracted the project of Muzha Line of Taipei City MRT.
  • Contracted the project of Taipower Building.
  • Employees and their dependents of BES's Kuwait construction office successfully escaped out of Kuwait.

1991

  • Contracted the project of Costa Rica's China Processing Export Zone.

1992

  • Make up for the public offering of stocks.

1993

  • The company was listed and the Ministry of Economic Affairs released 8.51% of its shares.
  • Vietnam office established.

1994

  • BES privatized successfully on 1994.06.22 after the MOEA released 70.53% of its shares in the company. This made a good example of SOE's privatization.
  • The board of directors was re-organized.

1995

  • Contracted the construction project of the Asia-Pacific Business Center.
  • Mr. Yao Zhesheng assumed the role of Chairman of the Company.

1999

  • Mr. Shen Ching-ching assumed the role of Chairman of the Company.

2001

  • Contracted the construction project of Taipei Arena, Taipei City.

2003

  • Mr. Yan Juntai assumed the role of Chairman of the Company.

2006

  • A joint venture company was established in Dubai, United Arab Emirates to undertake projects there.

2010

  • Raised the authorized capital to TWD30 billion and reorganized the company to focus on construction and development operation.
  • Partner with Yatai Gongshanglian Co., Ltd. to rebuild the Agora Garden Taipei.

2011

  • Mr. Shen Ching-ching assumed the role of Chairman of the Company.
  • Mr. Cai Wei-li stepped in the post of GM, BES.

2015

  • Mr. Shen Hwa-yeang stepped in the post of GM, BES.

2016

  • Mr. Yan Jun-tai assumed the role of Chairwoman of the Company.

2017

  • Mr. Shen Hwa-yeang assumed the role of Chairman of the Company.

2020

  • Ms. Hui-lan Chu assumed the role of Chairwoman of the Company.

2021

  • BES introduced a brand-new Corporate Identity System (CIS) with imagery of the sky, ocean, and green landscapes.

2022

  • Mr. Jui-Lung Chen assumed the role of Chairman of the Company.
  • Mr. Chih-Ming Chou assumed the role of Chairman of the Company.
  • Four major profit centers were established.
