This renovation unit is located in the Minsheng Dunnan commercial area of Songshan District, Taipei City. It is one of the city's long-standing office and commercial districts, with a mix of residential and commercial properties, many of which are old and in varying conditions. The passage of time has brought about wear and tear to these buildings, potentially resulting in safety issues. In order to create a better living environment, BES Engineering is promoting urban renewal and proposing a beneficial improvement plan to our neighbors. Through this renewal process, we will introduce new designs and concepts to enhance the value of the renovation.
The exterior of the renovated buildings will feature clean lines and soft tones, with stacked volumes and staggered frames integrated with vertical greenery to enhance and soften the urban landscape.
The architectural planning aims to enhance spatial legibility, create aesthetic urban landscapes, and establish an energy-efficient, resource-saving, and low-pollution green building. We will incorporate diverse networks and smart building technologies to create a more comfortable, healthy, and environmentally friendly living environment.
On the roadside, the renovation unit will have a setback of 4-6 meters to create a shelter-free pedestrian walkway. Large trees will be planted to facilitate smooth pedestrian movement and provide shade and resting spots. Some of the setback space will be treated to align with the road level, providing space for fire vehicles for emergency response and increasing residential safety.
Underground parking spaces for cars and motorcycles, as well as loading and unloading areas, will be provided on the site to reduce the impact of vehicle parking on surrounding alleys and road traffic.
