Project Description

The First Fruit and Vegetable Wholesale Market is located on Wanda Road, near the Huazhong Bridge in Wanhua District, Taipei City. It has been in operation for 45 years since its opening in 1974 and is currently the largest wholesale market in Taiwan. It primarily supplies vegetables, fruits, and seafood to Taipei City and New Taipei City. However, the market is facing challenges such as insufficient unloading areas and parking spaces, outdated facilities, a dirty and chaotic environment, the need for diversified sales channels, changing consumer habits, and diverse consumer demands, as well as the rapid development and popularization of cold chain logistics technology. In response to these needs for transformation, the renovation project will be carried out through overall planning, phased construction, and a one-time reconstruction approach.
