Project Description

Based on the overall development plan of the "Kaohsiung Sea-Air Economic and Trade City" by the Executive Yuan, the "Kaohsiung International Container Center Phase II Project" was carried out and approved by the Executive Yuan on March 10, 2011. The Phase II plan involves reclaiming approximately 422.5 hectares of new land in the offshore dike of Kaohsiung Port Second Harbor. It includes the construction of 5 deep-water container terminals at a depth of 18 meters underwater, 14 general cargo/chemical terminals, as well as a storage and transportation center for energy and petrochemical materials, a new container base, and port development land to achieve the goal of relocating the petrochemical terminal in the old port area and building a container logistics base.
