Project Description

The Zengwen Reservoir Anti-Silt Tunnel is located between Dapu Township in Chiayi County and Nansi District in Tainan City. It is a tunnel that connects the storage area of the Zengwen Reservoir with the downstream Zengwen River, specifically designed for hydraulic sand flushing. This tunnel is the largest underground hydraulic engineering project in Taiwan and the world's first sand flushing tunnel that utilizes the elephant trunk steel pipe method.
